WHO WE ARE
Sustainable Enterprise Development Initiative is a registered Non Governmental Organization with a mission to raise Nigerians out of poverty through job creation and enterprise development.
It is solely focused on promoting jobs through sustainable Enterprise Development and aims to create over one million jobs and at least $5b economic empowerment impact in the next Five Years starting with Rivers State and the Niger Delta as its pilot demography.
Working with partners, donors and individuals all over Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world, SED Initiative seeks to advocate for economic development by the implementation of its strategic action plan for job creation and enterprise development for the primary purpose of economic empowerment for people across Nigeria.
WHAT WE DO
Job Creation through Local Enterprise Development
Local enterprise development is an important aspect of SED Initiative. Our work will be geared towards boosting skills supply and demand to create quality local jobs, support local business growth and build adaptable local economic strategies, policies and systems through direct intervention and advocacy.
Advocacy/Value Reorientation
At SED Initiative we believe that for economic development to occur the mindsets and knowledge base of people must be reshaped to fit the incoming economic growth impact that will flow into the local communities in the coming years. Through a series of mentorship and capacity building sessions we aim to advocate the adoption of best practices, adaptive technology and the importance of growth for the local economies and in areas where violence and corruption are the prevailing situation.
Adaptive Technology and Growth Enhancement
The world is changing, and technology is needed to enhance the development of entrepreneurship and creativity. Entrepreneurs will be encouraged to use technology as a tool for business growth. Advanced companies will also be encouraged to share their wealth of knowledge and technological know how with the local enterprises.
